Joao Felix

Joao Felix has shown disinterest in Manchester United. How Erik ten Hag treated Cristiano Ronaldo and others are causing a ripple effect among players as they are now trying their best to opt for another team with a better manager.

The 23-year-old Felix nonetheless received a call-up to Portugal’s World Cup roster, and he started four of their five matches there. It looks that he will now be leaving the Wanda Metropolitano, if only temporarily, despite his great performances for his nation.

Erik ten Hag is trying to expand his options, and United is said to be one of the frontrunners to sign him. Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United was terminated last month, leaving a spot in the lineup for an offensive player.

Felix is one of Ten Hag’s top targets, but if they want to sign him, they might encounter a problem. The attacker told Adri Contreras last month that Felix is a Leeds United fan.

United’s longtime adversary, Leeds United, and the two clubs have a strained relationship. If Felix does back them, it might be a setback for United because they plan to prioritise an attacking player in January.

Diego Simeone, the Atletico manager, has also left the possibility of Felix staying with the LaLiga team open. He argued that he, not the Portugal star, was to blame for Felix’s subpar club performances.

“I care about the team. He is an important player and if he transmits what we saw in the first matches of the World Cup it will be very important. He has talent, conditions and the team needs his qualities,” he said.

Could Joao Felix join Arsenal instead?

There are talks that Arsenal is looking for a player like Felix. However, about Mudryk, that is another problem for Arsenal to solve as their offers are constantly rejected by his current team.

Arsenal fans are happy if Joao joins their club as he has proven himself well in the World Cup. Others were complaining that even Joao Felix is overpriced when compared to the other available players on the market.

Criticisms on his rates are also a subject of debate among fans. Apparently his current club, Atletico is requesting an €18m offer for a 5 month loan to any Premier League club. This could probably be a new era in the Premier League where players, especially fresh new ones, would cost a pretty penny.

Talks of Gabriel Martinelli, who is an important component in Arsenal, cost them only £6 million. Some were claiming that Atletico wanted a high price in order to afford Felix’s salary and that they were “scammed” into purchasing the young player for a high price.

Talks on how Manchester United getting “scammed” on loaning or purchasing new players at an exorbitant price is also a subject for debate. However, other English Premier League clubs are more cautious with their money.

The price of €18m for a loan deal is too much, said an Arsenal fan. If it was a purchase, they think it would definitely be a worthy investment. Others are claiming that these fancy new players are a luxury and bragging rights for clubs.

Fans are still unsure if they are able to perform well, especially under the stressful environment of the English Premier League. Regardless, the Premier League is regarded as one of the most watched leagues in football.
