At the young age of 18, Lebron James launched his professional career in the league and has fought valiantly against the tide of challenges on court. He made a remarkable debut, averaging 20.9 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds in 79 games in his rookie season in 2003-04. And to no one’s surprise, he won the Rookie of the Year award.

James progressed through the ranks in the ensuing years, eventually earning the title “King,” owing to his extraordinary skill set that made him comparable to all-time greats like Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

And fast forward to the future, and James is now one of the most dominant forces on the court and holds multiple accolades, the most notable of which are four championships  (two with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013, one each with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and the LA Lakers in 2020), four MVP awards, and two Olympic gold medals. With 38,847 points, he also holds the distinction of being the NBA’s highest scorer of all time.

And with his career being flooded with countless moments of brilliant plays, gravity-defying jump shots, and vicious dunks, his legacy is definitely one that’s worth being commemorated in a museum.

And the LeBron James Family Foundation did just that.

Opening date for the Lebron James museum

On X, the foundation finally announced the date of when the ‘LeBron James’ Home Court’ museum will open its doors to the public, writing, “Opening November 25 inside House Three Thirty… @KingJames’ Home Court. The world’s first and only official museum dedicated to the journey and milestones of the kid from Akron! 👑

“My dream was always to put Akron on the map, so to have a place in my hometown that allows me to share my journey with my fans from all over the world means a lot to me,” James said in a statement, as per CBS sports

“I’ve been known to hang on to a lot of things over the years, and I always knew there would be a time and place to bring them out. I’m so proud that place is House Three Thirty, a space my Foundation created to serve my I Promise families and the entire community,” he added.

LeBron’s life will be explored through a self-guided tour that includes “never-before-seen items” in the multimedia storytelling experience, according to a press release.

The Museum will be open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, with the cost of admission being $23 for the general public and free admission for children aged five and under.

And all of the money raised from the ticket sales will be used to support House Three Thirty’s creative job training program, which employs I PROMISE kids along with their parents, guardians, instructors, and other family members.
