Shohei Ohtani struck out Mike Trout, a member of the Los Angeles Angels, on Tuesday night, sealing Japan’s victory over the United States of America in the 2023 World Baseball Classic championship.

While Japan was thrilled and pleased with the victory, American fans were devastated and wretched following the defeat. Following Team USA’s underwhelming performance in the competition, the NFL community took over Twitter, trolling with their criticism.

Japan’s victory over Team USA during World Baseball Classic is huge success

One may anticipate an epic confrontation when two world heavyweights square off at the finals of a competition.

Japan defeated the United States of America in an epic thriller in the 2023 World Baseball Classic finals, which did not disappoint. Japan managed to stave off the USA by one run in the ninth inning as the game came down to the wire.

Trea Turner’s lone home run for Team USA gave them the game’s first lead at 1-0 in the second inning. As a result of solo home runs by Munetaka Murakami and Kazuma Okamoto, Japan came out swinging and eventually led 3-1. Kyle Schwarber’s home run gave Team USA a chance to respond, and they won 3-2 to send the match into extra innings.

Before securing the victory, Team Japan needed three outs. The eagerly anticipated faceoff pitted Shohei Ohtani against Mike Trout. To give Japan their third championship in the tournament’s history, Ohtani struck out as the skipper of Team USA.
