Samiullah Shinwari is an Afghan cricketer and represents Afghanistan at the international level. He is one of the talented right-hand batsmen who will be soon seen for the Asia Cup tournament 2022.

According to reports, the 34-year-old batter, Samiullah Shinwari has recently been included in Afghanistan’s 17-man squad team for the upcoming men’s Asia Cup in UAE. Also as said in the highlights Mohammad Nabi will continue to be the captain, Along with Rashid Khan the key man in the lineup game.
Afghanistan Chief minister Noor Malik mentioned “Asia cup is an important event, and we have tried our best and picked our best available players for the event”, He also further said that “For the Asia Cup Samiullah Shinwari had been added and he seems in pretty much good shape and can form best in future in the batting department, that already boasts Hashmatullah Shahidi, Ibrahim Zadran, Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran”.
Talking about Shinwari he has represented Afghanistan in 64 T20Is since his debut in 2010. Still, since 2020 he hasn’t played any international matches, but during his last game his performance for Boost Defenders in recent SCL (Shpageeza Cricket League) where he scored 202 runs from the eight innings at an average strike rate of 122.42. Also, he was known as the seventh highest run-scorer in the competition.
Afghanistan is in Ireland for five-match T20I series, and they have lost the first two matches. Whereas the next two were won by them, Afghanistan is currently in Group B at the tournament and they will open their campaign on August 27 against Sri Lanka.
