Ten Hag

Soon, it will mark a full month since Manchester United last appeared on the field for the Premier League. Previously, they were busy with the Europa League and now with the announcement of the Queen’s sad passing, it is unclear when they will make a comeback.

Their last game helped place them in a better light as they broke Arsenal’s perfect record by beating them by 3-1. Their next game is set on October 2nd where they will fight against Manchester City.

A look back on the pandemic lockdown days in early 2020 where all activities were stopped worldwide. During the time, Manchester United had found their place and had a victory against Manchester City at Old Trafford. That match gave them their third straight victory that year with a score of 2-0.

The potential was growing but unfortunately after the match, the Premier League declared a shutdown and would continue to be shut down for the next three months. The same happened for all the major leagues world wide.

After the lockdowns, there were only nine games remaining and under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Manchester United was in sixth place. They picked up on where they left and were undefeated by opponents and they won six games and had three draws.

It is common knowledge that since Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down all the way back in 2013, the club has been in sort of a disarray. The club needed change as their standards were dropping ever since, and in 2021 they had received their all time low. Erik ten Hag then came into the picture and initially it was still bad.

Ten Hag brought hope to the club and its fans, but he would not be able to whip up the club into shape within just a few days, this would take time. He had grand plans on making Manchester United return to the Champions League and would also need to acquire new players to beef up the team.

Now, with other teams on the waiting list to compete with each other, namely Leeds United and Crystal Palace, Manchester United will have to wait for some time before they are back on the field according to reports. They have had four victories in a row before all of these postponements happened.
