Buddy Matthews, the Australian powerhouse currently illuminating the House of Black in All Elite Wrestling, is a WWE veteran. Now 34 years old, he first appeared on the WWE stage as Buddy Murphy a decade ago. His triumphs over the NXT Tag Team and Cruiserweight Championships during his WWE career, which lasted from 2013 to 2021, demonstrated his talent. Despite these achievements, he never became a key player on the main roster.
The most engaging plot line in Buddy’s work as a WWE star developed into a thrilling saga. Formerly Seth Rollins’ disciple, he developed a passionate relationship with Aalyah Mysterio, the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio. Off-screen, she is in love with Buddy Matthews, a relationship that time has stoked, even though her on-screen flame is Dominik Mysterio.
Recent social media updates by Rhea seem to indicate that her relationship with Buddy has advanced significantly. Although their new status is clearly indicated by the distinctive ring on her finger, this does not necessarily mean that her on-screen relationship with Dirty Dom is over.
