Mark Boucher, the new head coach of the Mumbai Indians, is looking forward to meeting with captain Rohit Sharma to go over his coaching strategies and how to produce the best outcome for the five-time champions in the IPL 2023.

Mahela Jayawardene, a Sri Lankan great, has moved into the position of MI’s global head of performance, and the former South African coach has taken her place. She also has the additional task of managing MI Emirates (ILT20) and MI Cape Town (SA20).

The former Proteas wicket-keeper, who is presently sidelined for the two Test matches against Bangladesh due to a thumb injury, gushed about Rohit, calling him a “great player” and a “wonderful leader.” Rohit is currently out of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

The Mumbai Indians have won five IPL championships while Rohit has served as captain, however in the 2022 edition of the competition, they came in last. “It’s going to be really fascinating (meeting with Rohit).
