BCCI Announces TATA IPL 2022 Mega Auction Date, Time, Place, And Retention Prices

Indian Premier League is a professional domestic competition of team which is based in Indian cities. The format of the game is a double round-robin, followed by Knockout. It was inaugurated in the year 2008 and had 6 teams initially. Later on, there were 2 more teams were added. In the year 2021, the BCCI, which is the regulating body of cricket in India, announced there will be a total of 10 teams participating this year.

BCCI had declared that in the IPL 2022 edition there will be 2 more teams added to the list of teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, the official names haven’t been declared to us yet. IPL 2022 Mega Auction Date

Since the new edition of the IPL for the year 2022 is going to commence in a short while the makers have planned the Auction for all the players and the teams. Auction is an event wherein the players are bought by the IPL’s Franchise team owners in order to get the best-skilled player. The motive behind this is to take the team’s winning stake a notch higher.

The IPL 2022 auction is set to be held in Bengaluru, which is going to be on February 12 and 13. There are in all 590 players that will be put into the auction pool at the 2-day event in Bengaluru.

What is the time of the Mega Auction IPL 2022?

What are the Retention Prices?

There are three base prices at which the entire auction is taken into account, the prices include INR 2 crore, followed by INR 1.5 crore and INR 1 crore. Meanwhile, there are other quotations which are INR 50 lakh and INR 20 lakh. It is known to us that adding to the tally we have in all 17 Indian cricketers and 33 overseas players who are in the Rs. 2 crore bracket.

To sum up the entire procedure all 10 franchises which are Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Lucknow Super Giants, and Ahmedabad will be having an option to make their preferred choice from 228 capped, 355 uncapped and 7 associate players in the auction list.
