Lionel Messi is driving up ticket prices in Nashville as he comes to town to play for Inter Miami CF against Nashville SC in the Leagues Cup final on Saturday (August 19).

Prices were skyrocketing on second-hand markets, reported Axios, adding that the highest priced tickets were going for almost $8,000 on SeatGeek on Thursday morning (August 17), the day after ticket sales opened. The New York Post said the lowest priced ticket it could find was $380.

Messi has been finding the net regularly since arriving in Miami in late July, L scoring nine goals in just six games. His tally included one in the Leagues Cup semi-final, too, when Miami demolished the Philadelphia Union with a 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile, Nashville reached the Cup final with a convincing 2-0 win over Monterrey in the semi-final on Tuesday.

Messi drove up ticket prices for the Miami-Philadelphia encounter, too. Prices on the secondary market soared to over $1,000 per ticket, reported USA Today,
