Major football transfer talks around the globe

Saudi Arabian football club Al Nassr is expected to sign Portugal and former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, and there are talks the transfer will be complete by the end of the year.

As Portugal exited the 2022 World Cup in the quarterfinals, Ronaldo, 37, returned to Europe after his post-World Cup break and is currently working out with Real Madrid.

Football transfer Ronaldo has been given permission to use the training facilities at Real Madrid City, which means he is not training with his former teammates.

Arsenal and Brazil forward Gabriel Martinelli, 21, is set to sign a new deal with the club worth £200,000-a-week.

French champions Paris St-Germain want to tie 35-year-old Argentina forward Lionel Messi to the club in the next few days. The World Cup winner’s contract runs out next summer and he is free to talk to clubs outside of France from 1 January.
