Common assault carries 2 years of imprisonment under section 26 of the Crimes Act 1900 (ACT).

This is an act where the person intentionally or knowingly causes a problem and has unlawful violence. There are a large number of individuals who are being convicted even after their first defense.

Prison for two years is not much enough there are also some charges that you need to pay and you should feel regret having all this.
