U.S. Women’s Open 2022 Prize Money Breakdown

U.S. Open has the highest purse in Women’s golf and has gradually increased over the years. The purse value of the Championship from 2019 to 21 was $5.5 million and is increased for the 77th edition. The purse was increased to $10 million as nonprofit health care company ProMedica was announced as the Presenting Sponsor of the Tournament. Below is the complete prize money breakdown of the 2022 Women’s U.S. Open.

The Prize Money for this year is increased to $10 Million and is said to increase for the next 5 years. The breakdown of prize money is however not yet disclosed by the organizers but the winner’s Prize is revealed by the officials. The winner of the 2022 Women’s U.S. Open will grab prize money of $1.8 million. The Prize money breakdown will be updated as soon as any official announcement is made by the concerned authorities. Increase in Prize Money over the Years

With the inclusion of a new sponsor, the purse value has increased and will keep on increasing for another 5 years. According to the new agreement between USGA and ProMedica, the purse value is said to increase to $11 million in 2023 and $12 million in 2024. This will take the tournament to the top in terms of prize money and thus attract more entries to the tournament.
