For the Houston Astros in the World Series, Jeremy Pena put on the World Series MVP-winning performance of a lifetime, earning him the honor of winning the award in 2022.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the enormous influence the young Pena had on the Houston roster for the Astros to defeat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games and win the World Series.
The MVP is unable to resist crushing the baseball once again now that he is having fun in his native country. Jeremy was observed launching one through the area during a lighthearted game with family and friends.
Pena had 132 hits, 22 home runs, 63 RBIs, and a batting average of.253 in the previous season, but the Astros fans could not have anticipated his powerful postseason effort.

According to his success rate, he spent most of 2022 alternating between second and first position. It wasn’t until October 1 that he assumed his new role as the Astros’ No. 2 batter. Since then, he has been a mainstay in Houston’s lineup, and he may be their best postseason hitter and defender.
Aaron Nola’s night came to an end in Game 4 when Pena hit a two-strike single. Pena made two excellent fielding plays in Game 5, singled and homered to score the game’s final two runs, and handled the final out with ease.
After going 2-for-4 with a run scored in the pivotal Game 6, Jeremy Pena added the World Series MVP honor to the ALCS MVP trophy he had already won earlier this month, becoming the first rookie position player to do so.
A rookie shortstop had never hit a home run in the World Series. His nine extra-base hits this year are the most by a rookie in a postseason (only two others have more). Pena is the first rookie position player to receive the honour since it was originally given out in 1955.
