The attention surrounding free agency isn’t limited to Aaron Judge, a New York Yankee. A week after declining a $16 million player option, Anthony Rizzo elected to sign a $40 million, two-year deal, committing to remain in New York.
After the 2022 season, Rizzo was one of two free agents for the Yankees. Every Bronx Bombers supporter, except for Aaron Judge, of course, wants to see him back in the stripes. Even after resigning, Judge allegedly called Rizzo to congratulate him but kept quiet about his circumstances.
“Simple words of congratulations: “Well deserved.” I’m glad for you. “Hello, Emily,” “said Rizzo.
On Aaron’s future, Anthony Rizzo said, “I hope it’s in a Yankee uniform, for him and for the team as a whole. People are leaving so frequently, now. It would be appropriate if he held a press conference after being awarded the captain position and the money he deserves. By Bryan Hoch”
In his opinion, Judge can negotiate any contract he wants as a result of his historic 2022 season, during which he set a record with 62 home runs.
Despite the hefty deal that will soon be theirs, you can be sure that the Yankees are dead set on re-signing their big man. The team’s owner, Hal Steinbrenner, earlier stated in the media that they would do all in their power to re-sign him.
Throughout the NYC Marathon, Aaron Judge stands by his wife Samantha Bracksieck
During his first day of becoming a free agent, he supported his wife by attending the New York Marathon. The judge encouraged his running partner the entire 26.2-mile course and greeted her at the finish line with a hug.
“Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton were at the New York City Marathon today cheering for Judge’s wife,” Talkin’ Yankees
On the heels of an incredible season, the baseball great is taking some well-earned time off. Following a challenging season, Samantha is undoubtedly relieved to see her husband again.
