Sancho

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking for reinforcements to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the upcoming January transfer window.

However, with Jadon Sancho struggling for form in the north west, the Red Devils may be willing to let one of their stars leave at the same time. Elsewhere, Ten Hag is expected to be given £173 million to complete three major signings next month, one of which is a potential right-back who has recently expressed a desire to move elsewhere.

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has struggled for consistency yet again this season and may be allowed to leave the club in January – but only on loan.

Since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021, the Englishman has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, and now Ten Hag, with Chelsea previously being mentioned as a possible destination.

Ten Hag could allow Sancho to make a surprise temporary exit in the January transfer window to regain his confidence, though a move to Stamford Bridge is said to be out of the question.

This has happened with Cristiano Ronaldo in the past few months, where Ten Hag would not let him play on the field, but at the same time would not let him transfer out.

Despite claiming they would not spend in January, Manchester United are now planning to give Ten Hag £173 million to spend on new players in order to beef up their Europa League team.

United ‘have €200m (£173m) prepared,’ according to Spanish publication Nacional. Ten Hag is preparing to “face” the winter transfer market, and the Dutchman is “above all” looking to strengthen his attack.

Reaction towards Jadon Sancho

There was a fan that tweeted about what Manchester United can learn after transferring Sancho to the club. Another responded that Manchester United can only destroy talents, not uplift them. This could be some of the leftover disgruntlement they are feeling towards Cristiano Ronaldo’s treatment.

Furthermore, there were some fans that stated a 21-year-old should not be receiving as much money as Sancho has been with United. Some are stating that footballers should also have consultants that would advise them to analyse if the next club they are joining is a suitable one or not.

One of the hurtful comments directed towards United were that the Bundesliga teams would favour attackers and their stats, however, Manchester United doesn’t know what they’re doing. Especially under their Erik ten Hag leadership.
