Will Antonio Conte make a shock return to Juventus since he is yet to sign a new contract with Tottenham Hotspurs?

Rumours have it that Conte might get another chance to manage the ‘old lady’ as Juventus is called in Europe.

That is if Juventus were to sack under-fire boss Max Allgeri. That would mean Conte would not sign the extended contract with the Spurs.

On the other hand, reports say pressure is building against Allgeri after Juventus suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to bottom of the table Monza during the weekend.

They also lost both of the opening games in the Champions League.

At the moment, Juventus is eighth in the Serie A with two wins in seven matches, a poor start of the season and in football terms anywhere in the world, it may simply mean the sacking of the current manager after the next disastrous match.

Conte is showing his talent at Spurs with the club doing better this season. Spurs are currently third in the Premier League, with five wins and two draws. But there are talks that the fans are not happy with the team’s performance this season.

In the meantime, the Italian Conte has previously stated that he has ‘unfinished business’ in Turin. Some reports say he is Juventus director Pavel Nedved’s top choice to replace Allegri if the latter is fired.

Conte led Juventus from 2011 to 2014, winning three Serie A titles before falling out with club president Andrea Agnelli over a perceived lack of support in the transfer market.

Tottenham is in second place in the Champions League Group D.

In the Premier League, Tottenham entered the international break on the heels of a 6-2 victory over Leicester.

Spurs had to come from behind to be level at the break and wait for a resurging Son Heung-min to beat the Leicester team with a hefty 6-2.

They really raced ahead and racked up the impressive scoreline.

Even better, Son Heung-min started the season with a hat-trick off the bench in the second half.

Will they lose Conte soon? It all depends on how Allgeri does in the Juventus match.
