Cricket News: Chris Morris Announces retirement from all forms of cricket

Chris Morris is a South African all-rounder born on 30 April 1987 in Gauteng, South Africa. Morris on Tuesday, 11th January announced sudden Retirement from all forms of Cricket.

Chris Morris is one of the Finest All Rounders from South Africa. Morris was the most expensive player in IPL 2021 brought by Rajasthan Royals for 16.25 Crores and has played with many other IPL Franchises.

Despite being such a good cricketer, Morris last played for South Africa in the 2019 ICC World Cup in Old Trafford against Australia. After that, he did not get any chance to play for South Africa.

Morris believes that one of the Reasons for his retirement is South African Board. The board did not try to contact him since 2019 and the way they treated a few of their players is also one of the reasons. Morris told this to Sportskeeda.

Morris considered his career as over as he wasn’t getting any updates from the board. So he decided to retire from all forms of cricket and would now shift to coaching South African domestic team Titans.

Morris has played for Delhi Capitals, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and South African team Titan. He will now be taking the role of coach for his Home team in South Africa which is the Titans.

We will surely miss an All-Rounder like Chris Morris and hope that he does the same wonder as a coach which he used to do as a player. He would be thrilled to start his new journey with Titans.
