Josh Naylor’s achievement

One of baseball’s top hitters, Naylor, has quietly advanced to the top. In 2022, the Cleveland Guardians’ Ontario-born slugger enjoyed a breakthrough campaign. He is thrilled about the opportunity to represent his country at the World Baseball Classic after proving himself in the majors:

In a recent article published by the Toronto Star, was quoted as having spoken at Baseball Canada’s annual dinner honours.

The United States, Japan, and Taiwan will all take turns hosting the tournament’s fifth iteration. The dates of the games are March 8–March 21. The World Baseball Classic will feature 20 teams for the first time this season.

Along with the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Great Britain, the Canadians will compete in Pool C. With the San Diego Padres in 2019 and 2020, Naylor had a rough start to his MLB career as he tried to rediscover his form. Moving to Cleveland gave Naylor a fresh start and sped up his progress.

He concluded in the year 2022 with a.256/.319/.452 slash line and a.771 OPS. Over 122 games, he hit 79 RBIs and 20 home runs.
