Aaron Judge

For the next nine years of his baseball career, Aaron Judge will play for the New York Yankees. It appears that Judge will be given the position of team captain by the Yankees as payment.

Judge has built a solid rapport with his teammates and coaches over the course of his seven seasons with the Yankees. He has demonstrated that he is the clubhouse’s boss.

Judge will probably be selected captain, according to MLB insiders Bob Nightengale and Jon Heyman in separate Tweets. Heyman discussed why Judge being given the position of captain is a no-brainer in the most recent episode of his podcast, The Show.

Since the team was established in 1903, the Yankees have had a long and illustrious history. The Yankees have won 27 World Series victories in that 120-year span, which is an MLB record.

After signing a record deal, it would be the cherry on top for Judge to receive the renowned award. In the history of the club, Judge would be just the 16th captain. Ron Guidry (1991–1955), Don Mattingly (1991–2014), and Derek Jeter were the last three captains (1986-1988). Lou Gehrig (1935–1939), George Herman “Babe” Ruth, and other notable captains are also included (1922). Hall of Famers made up eight of the previous 15 captains.

The league’s leader in home runs, RBIs, and runs was Aaron Judge, who won his first AL MVP award in 2022

In the past nine months, Aaron Judge has signed a record deal and earned the Hank Aaron Award, the Silver Slugger Award, and the AL MVP. Aaron Judge would end a spectacular year by being appointed the captain of one of the most well-known sports teams in the world.

Many people believe that Judge just finished the best offensive season in baseball history. With 62 home runs, the four-time All-Star shattered the AL single-season record for home runs.

That was one more than the mark of 61 set in 1961 by fellow Yankee Roger Maris. The judge came dreadfully near to capturing the Triple Crown as well.

Heyman claimed that the Yankees’ decision to tattoo a “C” on Judge’s chest was mostly influenced by the player’s demeanor.

Since the Yankees selected Aaron Judge in the 2013 draught, he has grown as a player. He is kind and good with both the players and the supporters.

It is only fitting that Judge receives recognition for his efforts after leading the Yankees’ offence to a season with 99 victories.

Fan reaction towards Aaron Judge

A fan of Aaron Judge stated that he looks majestic in the iconic Yankee stripes saying that it is somewhat of a poetic symbol. Yankee fans are excited to welcome Judge as their captain and are looking forward to observe his strategies.

Others joked that he might end the long standing Yankees policy to not allow beards for their team members. A Yankees fan for 60 years has stated his opinion on Judge and is hopeful with his potential contributions to the team.
